Objectives and Target groups

Overall objectives

• Further development and acceptance of the Croatian Qualification Framework
• Increased human capacity for application of ICTs in health sector

Specific objectives

• Develop capacity for implementation of student centred learning based on skills, competences and learning outcomes
• Create partnerships and reinforce cooperation between stakeholders at all levels
• Improve flexibility and transparency in the transition between different levels and types of education
• Reinforced quality assurance mechanisms
• Develop a qualification standard for specialist in medical informatics and the postgraduate specialist study programme in medical informatics

Target Groups

The target groups for the new postgraduate specialist programme in medical informatics are:

• professionals in any of the areas of medicine, nursing, health care management, dentistry, pharmacy, public health, health record administration, informatics/computer science and others who work in health sector, in public authorities responsible for health;
• professionals in IT sector designing and developing ICT solutions for health;
• researchers and teachers in medical informatics.

The study program will be adapted to all target groups.
